Maldives

 It was strange to spend Easter in Male the capital city in the Maldives. They were celebrating Ramadan as the country is 99% Muslim. We were told to not drink water or eat anything in public. With a temperature of 92 and the humidity at 79 we could barely last 2 hours of walking around the city. 

Fruit and vegetable market. These are beetel leaves that they chew as a stimulant. 

The fish market was right across the street 

What a catch. He is carrying 6 fish by their tails from the truck into the market.
